Ion Source Power Supply IS40E-PS



The IS40E-PS power supply allows fine adjustment of the primary beam energy and ion density and of beam profile via adjustment of extractor, focus lens, deflection and positioning elements. Up to 4 parameters can be varied simultaneously via the 4 digital encoders. The current status of each parameter is displayed on the large front panel LCD display. All settings can be stored and recalled automatically after unit switch on, or else manually adjusted. The unit also features a built in timer and automatic standby mode. The IS40E-PS can be supplied as a full width 19” rack unit (3U height) or
free standing.

The unit is also fully software controlled and web-enabled so that it can be operated over any network, including the internet.

Only one communication interface can be chosen at time of order (please refer to table) but this can be easily changed in the future via simple rear panel plugin connection modules, without ever having to access the internals of the unit.


The IS40E-PS power supply drives the IS40E1 Scanning Ion Source whose primary use is for depth profiling in AES/XPS and SIMS applications.
